PCB Dynamites win Pakistan Cup Women’s Cricket Tournament

PCB Dynamites beat PCB Challengers by 132 runs to win the Pakistan Cup Women’s Cricket Tournament 2022/23.

Dynamites won the toss and decided to bat first. Upon batting first, they scored 211 runs in 45 overs.

Sidra Nawaz was the standout player as she scored an unbeaten 103 runs on 112 balls with the help of 13 fours. While Sidra Amin was the second-highest scorer for Dynamites with 38 runs.

Noreen Yaqub of Challengers took two wickets for 53 runs in nine overs while Saima Malik and Sadia Iqbal both managed to only take one wicket each.

While chasing the target of 212 runs, Challengers could not get a chance to settle as they were all out for just 79 runs. Javeria Khan was the highest scorer for Challengers as she scored 28 runs on 53 balls.

Nashra Sundhu of Dynamites dominated Challengers’ batting as she took four wickets while conceding just five runs in 4.5 overs. Ghulam Fatima took three wickets in four overs as she only conceded five runs.

Waheeda Akhtar, Humna Bilal and Maham Manzoor all took one wicket each.

Sidra Nawaz was also named the Player of the Match for her heroics.

Dynamites captain Sidra Amin named player of the tournament for 269 runs in the one-day phase.

This was Dynamites’ second successive win over Challengers in the one-day tournament final, after beating them in the 2018 edition by 190 runs at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
