Real Madrid winger Eden Hazard is set to leave Real Madrid on June 30 after spending four years at the club.

Madrid have announced the Belgian’s departure through the club’s social media account.

The 32-year-old may announce his immediate retirement from football as he is considering the option.

As per the Spanish journalist Mario Cortegana, Hazard wanted to stay and complete his contract but the club wanted him to leave so the two parties came to an agreement.

The Belgian will say goodbye to the Los Blancos in Madrid’s last game of the season against Athletic Club at the Santiago Bernabeu tomorrow (June 4).

Hazard was presented as a Real Madrid player on June 13, 2019, at the Bernabeu. He was signed for €115m from English club Chelsea.

The 32-year-old featured in 76 games in four years at the Spanish capital, scoring seven goals and providing 12 assists. He also won eight trophies with Los Blancos.

Earlier, Real Madrid announced that winger Marco Asensio will leave the club at the end of the current season.

Asensio joined Madrid in 2015 and made 285 appearances during his time at the club.

“Real Madrid would like to express its gratitude and affection for Marco Asensio, a player who has defended our crest and our shirt for seven seasons,” the Spanish club said in a press release.

“He arrived at Real Madrid when he was only 20 years old and has managed to enter the history of our club as part of a team that has starred in one of our most successful periods,” it added.

Marco Asensio has won 17 titles at Real Madrid, which included three European Cups, four Club World Cups, three European Super Cups, three La Liga, one Copa del Rey and three Spanish Super Cups.

Asensio, who will leave the club as a free agent, scored 61 goals and notched up 32 assists for Real Madrid.

French club Paris Saint-Germain is among the clubs interested in signing Asensio, meanwhile, English Premier League club Aston Villa have also submitted a proposal to rope in the Spanish star.
