Real Madrid, who are looking forward to signing a striker in the upcoming transfer window, are interested in Chelsea’s Kai Havertz.

The Los Blancos have been heavily active in the transfer window as they are looking forward to strengthen a number of positions in the squad.

Kai Havertz is the latest player to be linked with Madrid. According to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, Madrid’s interest in the German striker is serious.

As per Fabrizio, Real Madrid believe Havertz is the kind of creative player with skills that Madrid don't have in the current team.

“Carlo Ancelotti really likes Kai Havertz. He’s a big factor in Real Madrid’s interest. Chelsea are open to negotiate but they want big money,” Fabrizio said.

Madrid’s president Florentino Perez also “fell in love” with the player during his game against Madrid in the quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League (UCL).

Earlier, Los Blancos striker Karim Benzema talked about his future at the Spanish Club as there has been rumours about him joining a Saudi club.

"Talk about my future? Why would I say anything? People talking? It's internet. Reality isn't internet," Benzema said. “Will I stay at Real? For now, we have a game on the weekend.”

The 35-year-old talked about his early days at the club and when Madrid’s president Florentino Perez visited his house in order to convince him to sign for the Los Blancos.

“When I signed for this club, I was a boy, 21 years old. I was only thinking about enjoying & winning trophies and in the end, I see that I have won a lot with Real Madrid,” he added. “I’m very proud of my career, I remember when I signed here, I was a kid, with a dream to play for Real Madrid.”

“Real Madrid is the best club in the world. I dreamed of playing here,” said the 35-year-old.

It must be noted that Benzema received a massive offer of 200 million Euros from Saudia Arabia for two years, and may leave the club after spending 14 years with the Los Blancos.

Madrid have asked the 35-year-old to decide his future quickly as they were not expecting the Frenchmen to leave the club. His departure would force the club to change their plans.
