Challengers beat Dynamites in last league stage match of women's Pakistan Cup

Both teams will play final of the event on June 4

Challengers' bowlers were on song as they helped their team defend 161 runs against Dynamites to win the last league match during the women's Pakistan Cup at State Bank Ground, Karachi. 

Set to chase 161 runs, Dynamites started off well with openers Khadija Chishti and Sidra Amin scoring 43 runs. Khadija scored 15 whereas Sidra contributed 36 but their partnership's end put the chasing side under pressure. 

Aliya Riaz fought hard, scoring 61 runs laced with four boundaries and three maximums. Her innings helped Dynamites show some resistance before the all-important final between the same teams on June 4. 

Saima Malik and Noreen Yaqub bagged three wickets each whereas skipper Omaima Sohail took two wickets. 

Earlier, veteran opening batter Javeria Khan smashed 83 runs to help her side post 160-7 in 20 overs. Javeria struck six boundaries during her stay at the crease. Fareeha Mehmood made 29 including two boundaries. 

For Dynamites, Nashra Sandhu took two wickets.
