The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced to organise specialised camps for spinners, fast bowlers, and batters.
In an announcement made today, PCB named players who have been called for specialised camps at National Cricket Academy (NCA).
Pakistan's captain in all three formats, Babar Azam and wicketkeeper batter Mohammad Rizwan will miss the camp because they are traveling for Hajj in the second week of June.
Sarfaraz Ahmed will miss the camp due to personal commitments whereas Mohammad Nawaz is recovering from finger injury. Players including Shaheen Shah Afridi and Shadab Khan, who are playing in County Cricket, will complete their contracts.
As many as thirteen spinners, 11 fast bowlers, and 14 batters will undergo training camps from June 10 to 21.
The men’s national selection committee has invited players from the Pakistan men’s, Shaheens and U19 sides and they will train under the guidance of national team’s and NCA’s coaches.
The upcoming first assignment of the national team after a gap of almost three months will be the ICC Test Championship matches against Sri Lanka. Pakistan will visit the Island nation to play two Tests at the end of July.
Later this year, the Asia Cup and World Cup are also scheduled to be played.
