"Pakistan have so far played good hockey. They need to continue the momentum and stay calm during their match against India," he said in a video message released by the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) today.

One of the greatest Pakistani hockey players Kaleemullah also prayed for the success of Pakistan hockey team against the neighbours.

"My prayers and best wishes are with the Pakistan team. I hope they win the final today," he said.

Former hockey player Rehan Butt lauded Pakistan team's efforts and expressed confidence in national team's triumph in the Asian event.

In the ongoing Junior Asia Cup, Pakistan won four matches including the semi-final against Malaysia, and drew one against India to qualify for the final of the Asian event. They will play against their arch-rivals India in the final today.
