National Games: Uzair bags Gold, Mueed manages Silver in men's 400m

Pakistan Army's Uzair Rehman and Mueed Baloch of Air Force had a close contest in men's 400m today during the ongoing 34th National Games at Ayub Stadium, Quetta. 

Mueed, also known as Baloch Bolt, fought really hard but finished just fractions short to Aziz at the finish line. 

Uzair completed the race in 46.7s to bag Gold whereas Mueed clocked 46.8s to win the Silver medal. Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA)'s Asad Chatta bagged Bronze. 

Army, WAPDA win Karate competitions

WAPDA won men's event in different weight categories, bagging overall 10 medals (five Gold, two Silver, three Bronze). Pakistan Army remained second with four Gold and Silver each and two Bronze. 

In the women's event, Army won five Gold, two Silver and Bronze each to finish on first position. WAPDA bagged overall eight medals (four Gold, two Silver, two Bronze) to finish second. Balochistan bagged three Silver and Bronze each to remain in third position. 

Railway (one Silver, two Bronze), Sindh (one Silver, one Bronze), HEC (five Bronze) and Punjab (three Bronze) finished fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh respectively.
