National Games: Pakistan Army takes lead in tug of war event

Semi-finalists will be decided tomorrow

Pakistan Army beat WAPDA - National Games media department 

QUETTA: Pakistan Army won back-to-back matches to take a lead in the tug of war event during the ongoing 34th National Games.

In first round, Army beat Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) to start the event on a high note. 

Pakistan Railway beat Sindh in the first round followed by the victories of Pakistan Police and Higher Education Commission (HEC) against Navy and Balochistan respectively. 

In the second round, Army beat HEC whereas Railway defeated Punjab, WAPDA defeated Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In the last match, KP bounced back and outclassed Balochistan. 

Semi-finalists will be decided tomorrow followed by the knockout games later in the day. The final of the event is scheduled on May 26.
