Pakistan men's football team will lock horns with hosts Mauritius in their first game in the upcoming 4-Nations Cup.

The green shirts will take on the hosts on June 11. Later on, they will play against Kenya on June 14 and Djibouti on June 17.

According to Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Normalisation Committee (NC), this tournament will help the team prepare strongly ahead of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Cup 2023 which is scheduled in India.

"These games will indeed provide the team with valuable experience and an opportunity to compete against other international teams, allowing the players to further develop their skills," PFF NC stated.

The national team will start their training camp in the last week of May.

Pakistan and India in same group for SAFF Championship

Arch-rivals Pakistan and India have been drawn in the same group of the SAFF Championship 2023, set to be played in Bangalore, India next month.

Pakistan and India have been drawn into the Group A of the tournament alongside Kuwait and Nepal.

Meanwhile, Group B consists of Maldives, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Lebanon.

Sri Lanka will be missing out on the tournament due to the FIFA ban.

However, Pakistan’s participation in the event is subject to government approval due to security concerns in India.

According to sources, PFF has already written a letter to the federal government, seeking their permission for participating in the tournament.
