Pakistan team pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi showed a friendly gesture towards a net bowler during their training session in Karachi.
Shaheen recently featured in five-match ODI series against New Zealand at home. During one of the training sessions during the series, Shaheen showed friendly gesture towards a young net bowler.
The video of this interaction went viral on social media.
During the ODI series, Shaheen bagged eight wickets in four matches. He also proved himself as a clean striker of the ball yet again.
After a lot of praise for Shaheen's batting in the fourth ODI against New Zealand, Shahid advised the pacer to focus on his bowling.
Afridi shared his opinion while replying to a tweet by all-rounder Shadab Khan in which Shaheen could be seen hitting boundaries.
"My expectations from Shaheen is first to perform with the ball because [Pakistan] depends on his early breakthrough," Shahid tweeted.
"I know he is working hard on his batting as well and we have seen what he can do," he added.
Shaheen had said that he had an interest in batting since his U19 days but never gave it a chance. However, that has changed recently, as he did a lot of batting practice during his rehab.
