Aljamain Sterling and Henry Cejudo

Aljamain Sterling and Henry Cejudo will be fighting for the Bantamweight in the main event of UFC 288 on May 6, Saturday.

The fight will take place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

The defending champion Sterling is at an eight-fight win streak that goes all the way back to 2018, with successful title defenses against the Russian Petr Yan and the American TJ Dillashaw in his last two fights.

Cejudo announced his retirement from professional fighting immediately after a successful title defense against Dominick Cruz on May 9, 2020. This will be the American’s golden chance to take back the title he gave up three years ago.

It must be noted that the 36-year-old American will be playing his first match since 2020.
