Mohammad Nawaz suffered finger injury during the ongoing third ODI against New Zealand.
On the first ball of 21st over, Daryl Mitchell hit Nawaz down the ground. In an attempt to stop the ball, Nawaz got hit on his bowling fingers.
He was spotted while feeling the pain and got immediate treatment. He completed his over and then he was taken off the ground.
As shared by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Nawaz has now been taken to the hospital for an X-ray. Further update on his injury will be shared in due course.
While batting first in the third ODI, Pakistan scored 287-6 in 50 overs. Imam-ul-Haq scored 90 runs whereas Babar contributed 54 runs.
When this story was filed, New Zealand were batting at 143-3 in 29.4 overs.
It must be noted here that before the ODI series, Haris Sohail also got injured during the practice session. He was replaced by Iftikhar Ahmed for last three ODIs in Karachi.
