Former Australia star Dean Jones on Tuesday posted a cryptic message on Twitter, which some are taking as his possible appointment as the head coach of the Pakistan cricket team.
Jones, who is one of at least three people to have applied for the job, teased his Twitter followers with an impending "big news".
"Big news to be announced by the end of the week," he wrote.
Jones is a two-time Pakistan Super League (PSL) champion with capital city outfit Islamabad United.
He does not have a ton of experience coaching at the highest level. However, he is well-liked in cricketing circles and has an excellent rapport with cricketing authorities in Pakistan, especially due to his work in the PSL.
If he gets the PCB's nod it would be a major surprise as Misbahul Haq appears to be the front runner for the job.
