Afghanistan's Rashid Khan is unstoppable in T20 cricket as the latter rules the shorter format wherever he plays.

In the recently concluded Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8, Rashid led Lahore Qalandars' bowling line from the front. The leg-spinner bagged 20 wickets to remain third highest wicket-taker in the tournament.

His match-winning performances helped Lahore retain their PSL title this year. Under the captaincy of Shaheen Afridi, Lahore became the first-ever franchise to defend its title in the history of PSL.

Later on, Rashid led Afghanistan to a historic series victory against Pakistan. Rashid-led Afghanistan faced Pakistan in a three-match T20I series. The men in blue beat Pakistan 2-1 to register their first-ever series win over neighbours.

In this international series, Rashid bagged three wickets in as many matches.

On Friday, Rashid bagged man-of-the-match award in the opening contest of the Indian Premier League (IPL) season 16.

While representing defending champions Gujrat Titans against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in tournament's opener, Rashid bagged two for 26 in his four overs and also scored 10 runs off three balls to receive best player of the match award.

In a post-match interview, Rashid said the first game is always an important one for any team.

"First game is always an important one for every team. A good start gives you momentum for the rest of the tournament," the best player of the day said.

Gujrat beat Chennai by five wickets to start the tournament on a high note.

Rashid thanked crowd for their amazing response. "The way crowd here responded, was amazing. I am happy to be back here," he concluded.
