Pakistan's left-arm pacer Rumman Raees wished his father on his birthday and thanked him for his contribution in the latter's life.

Rumman, who represented Pakistan in nine ODIs and eight T20Is, wrote a heartfelt note on his father's birthday.

"My hero, my idol, and my biggest mentor. I am the man that I am today because of you, Abbu Happy birthday to you," he wrote.

Ruman made his international debut in a T20I against West Indies in 2016. The left-arm pacer rose to fame when he made his ODI debut in a crucial semi-final contest of the Champions Trophy 2017.

In the CT17 semi-final against England, Rumman played in place of injured Mohammad Amir. The left-arm pacer bagged two wickets for 44 runs in his nine overs.

Since then, he played nine ODIs and eight T20I matches before missing out on international cricket due to injury. He got injured during Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2019. He suffered a knee injury while fielding.

The cricketer had to remain out of cricket action. He remained associated with Islamabad United as their bowling mentor. However, this year he made a comeback for them and bowled brilliantly. He bagged six wickets in as many matches for United who lost eliminator 1 against Peshawar Zalmi in PSL 8.
