PSL 8: Road to final for Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans

The grand finale will take place in Lahore today

The final of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season eight will be played between Multan Sultans and Lahore Qalandars today (Saturday) at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Lahore is aiming to become the first team to win back-to-back PSL titles, whereas Multan will be looking to clinch their second title.

The home side will be led by pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi, meanwhile wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan will be in charge of Multan.

Multan defeated Lahore in the Qualifier to book their spot in the final. Whereas, Lahore overpowered Peshawar Zalmi to qualify for the championship match.

Lahore Qalandars:

Feb 13 - Multan Sultans - won by one run

Feb 19 – Karachi Kings – lost by 67 runs

Feb 21 – Quetta Gladiators – won by 63 runs

Feb 26 – Peshawar Zalmi – won by 40 runs

Feb 27 – Islamabad United – won by 110 runs

Mar 2 – Quetta Gladiators – won by 17 runs

Mar 4 – Multan Sultans – won by 21 runs

Mar 7 – Peshawar Zalmi – lost by 35 runs

Mar 9 – Islamabad United – won by 119 runs

Mar 12 – Karachi Kings – lost by 86 runs

Mar 15 – Multan Sultans (Qualifier) – lost by 84 runs

Mar 17 – Peshawar Zalmi (Eliminator 2) – won by four wickets

Multan Sultans:

Feb 13 – Lahore Qalandars - lost by one run

Feb 15 – Quetta Gladiators – won by nine wickets

Feb 17 – Peshawar Zalmi – won by 56 runs

Feb 19 – Islamabad United – won by 52 runs

Feb 22 – Karachi Kings – won by three runs

Feb 26 – Karachi Kings – lost by 66 runs

Mar 4 – Lahore Qalandars – lost by 21 runs

Mar 7 – Islamabad United – lost by two wickets

Mar 10 – Peshawar Zalmi – won by four wickets

Mar 11 – Quetta Gladiators – won by nine runs

Mar 15 – Lahore Qalandars (Qualifier) – won by 84 runs

The winner will not only lift the Supernova Trophy but will also collect a cheque of Rs120m, while the runners-up will receive a cheque of Rs48m.
