Shahnawaz Dahani has rejoined Multan Sultans' squad ahead of Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8 final, scheduled on March 18 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

After recovering from injury, Dahani has been recalled to join the squad before all-important final.

In a video shared by Sultans on Twitter, Dahani was welcomed by his teammates and management.

In reply, Dahani thanked Sultans' management for their support throughout. "Alhamdullilah! I am very happy to be back with Multan Sultans & my team-mates. Thank you Haider Azhar bhai for taking care of me like a brother during all this process of recovery. And thank you all for lovely welcome," he wrote.

Dahani suffered an injury during Sultans' PSL 8 opening game against Lahore Qalandars. He was hit on the finger after a shot by Sikandar Raza. After scans, a fracture was traced in the finger of his bowling hand. Following doctor's advise, Dahani had to go an immediate surgery to recover.

After recovery, Dahani started training at Lahore's National Cricket Academy. Now, he has joined his franchise at a local hotel in Lahore.

It is pertinent to mention here that Sultans qualified for the final after defeating Lahore Qalandars in qualifier on March 15. They will either meet Peshawar Zalmi or Qalandars in the final. Today, Zalmi and Qalandars will lock horns in the Eliminator 2.
