Karachi Kings' skipper Imad Wasim thanked their fans for supporting them throughout Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8.
In a video shared by Kings, Imad said they played good cricket but things didn't work for them.
"You supported us throughout but unfortunately results didn't go our way. We played good cricket. Had we won 3-4 close games, we would have been into the playoffs," he said.
"I know all the fans are sad but we are too. We will go and plan better to comeback strongly next year," he added.
It must be noted here that the Kings won just three matches out of 10 in the league stage of PSL 8. They finished their PSL 8 campaign on a winning note after they beat arch-rivals Lahore Qalandars at their home ground.
Meanwhile, Imad's personal performance remained one of the highlights of the event. He scored 404 runs in 10 matches. He is still the number three highest run-scorer in the ongoing season. He also bagged nine wickets in as many matches.
For his outstanding all-round performance, he returned to national T20I team for a series against Afghanistan. Imad was named among 15-men for three-match T20I series against Afghanistan which is scheduled at the end of March.
