Australian spinner Nathan Lyon once again proved to be lethal in Indian conditions as he rattled the home side's batting line in second innings of the ongoing third Test in Indore. 

Lyon, after Australia took 88-run lead, helped his team bowl out India for 163 runs. The right-arm spinner dominated on the track and took eight wickets for 64 runs. 

India could only add 75 more runs to set Australia to chase 75 runs. Lyon bagged Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ravindra Jadeja, Srikar Bharat, Ravichandran Ashwin, Umesh Yadav, and Mohammed Siraj. 

The cricket fraternity heaped praise on Lyon for producing splendid spell for the Aussies. 

Indore's wicket looked a spin-friendly track. Spinners took 25 wickets so far in the third Test. Lyon picked up eight wickets in an innings for the second time in India. Overall, he has taken 11 wickets in the match. 

India are leading the ongoing four-match Test series 2-0. They won the first Test in Nagpur by an innings and 75 runs. In second Test, they defeated the Aussies by six wickets. 

Spinner Matthew Kuhnemann´s five-wicket haul and a 60 by Usman Khawaja helped Australia grab the early advantage after they dismissed India for 109 on Wednesday´s opening day of the third Test.

The tourists were 156-4 at stumps, leading India by 47 runs on a viciously turning pitch in Indore, as they look to fight back from two bruising defeats in the series.

Peter Handscomb, on seven, and Cameron Green, on six, were batting at close of play, spinner Ravindra Jadeja having taken all four Australian wickets.
