Ihsanullah helped Multan Sultans beat Quetta Gladiators on Wednesday — PCB

Former Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq has said that Multan Sultans' pacer Ihsanullah can touch the 160kph mark after the speedster claimed five wickets against Quetta Gladiators in the third match of the ongoing eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Wednesday.

Ihsanullah was sensational for his side against the Gladiators, claiming a five-for to bowl out Sarfaraz Ahmed's team for 110 at the Multan Cricket Stadium.

After his remarkable performance, Razzaq heaped massive praise on the fast bowler, claiming that the 20-year-old could touch the milestone of 160kph if he improves his fitness.

"When New Zealand came here, we selected him for the Test team. I had seen him in the National T20 Cup, and he impressed me. If we work on him and he works on his fitness, I'm sure he can touch the 160kph mark. We have to look after such bowlers, and that's the responsibility of PCB. We have to give chances to those who perform in the PSL," Razzaq, who was a member of the interim selection committee, said in an interview with a local channel.

Put to bat first, the Gladiators were bowled out for a paltry 110 runs before the home side chased down the target in 13.3 overs, thanks to Ihsanullah's five-wicket haul and a brilliant knock of 78 runs from Rilee Rossouw.

Unplayable Ihsanullah claims five-for

Quetta lost Sarfaraz after Ihsanullah bowled a fiery delivery to topple the stumps. The skipper went back after scoring only two runs.

Ihsanullah struck again in his second over, as he sent destructive batter Jason Roy packing after scoring 27 runs.

The lanky bowler continued to impress with his raw pace as he trapped in-form Iftikhar Ahmed in front of the stumps.

The Gladiators lost one more wicket to none other than Ihsanullah, who bowled a deadly bouncer that hit Umar Akmal's bat and was caught behind by Mohammad Rizwan.

The right-arm pacer finally completed his five-for after bowling out Naseem Shah (1) with a brilliant delivery.

The 2021 champions will next take on a formidable Peshawar Zalmi at the Multan Cricket Stadium on February 17.
