New Zealand's top batter Martin Guptill has said that he is excited to play in front of amazing Pakistani fans during the upcoming eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Guptill was roped in by the Gladiators in the supplementary category during the initial draft in December 2022.

In a video shared by the Quetta Gladiators on their official Twitter handle, Guptill said he is eagerly waiting to play in Pakistan.

"I am really excited to play in front of the amazing fans of Pakistan for the first time in my career. I cannot wait to experience the love and warmth of Pakistani fans in jampacked stadiums," Guptill said.

The opening batter claimed that the Sarfaraz Ahmed-led Gladiators' side is full of match-winners and was looking forward to linking up with England batter Jason Roy.

"I am most excited to link up with the destructive Jason Roy. It's gonna be fun and fireworks. Pakistan, mai araha hoon [Pakistan, I am coming]," he added.

It is worth mentioning here that Guptill represented Karachi Kings in the PSL.

The Gladiators will kick off their PSL campaign against 2022 runners-up Multan Sultans at the Multan Cricket Stadium on February 15.
