Peshawar Zalmi has appointed Kamran Akmal as head coach of their team for upcoming exhibition match against Quetta Gladiators team which is scheduled in Quetta on February 5.
Akmal, who went unpicked in Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8, will coach Babar Azam-led team in the much-awaited match.
Former Test cricketer Inzamam-ul-Haq will accompany Kamran in the dugout as team mentor.
Babar's team yellow will include Shahid Afridi, Wahab Riaz, Haseebullah, Danish Aziz, Mohammad Haris, Saim Ayub, Sufyan Muqeem, Salman Irshad, Usman Qadir, Azam Khan, Haider Ali, Aamir Jamal, and Usama Mir.
Sarfaraz Ahmed will lead Gladiators' squad which includes Umar Akmal, Bismillah Khan, Saud Shakeel, Ahsan Ali, Abdul Wahid Bangalzai, Naseem Shah, Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Hasnain, Khushdil Shah, Umaid Asif, and Omair Bin Yousuf, Aimal Khan.
In build-up to the upcoming eighth edition of the PSL, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), in collaboration with the Baluchistan government, will host this exhibition match.
The star-studded contest will start at 11am (PST). PTV Sports will telecast this match live.
This match will be one-of-its-kind after so many years in cricket-starved Quetta. Tickets for the match were sold out within two days. Fans made long queues to buy their tickets for only PKR20 each.
