Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan achieved a remarkable feat after he completed 500 wickets in T20 cricket on Monday.

During the ongoing SA20 league in South Africa, Khan dismissed Clyde Fortuin of Pretoria Capitals, while playing for MI Cape Town, to claim his 500th wicket.

Former West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has the most number of wickets in T20 cricket, currently, with 614 against his name in 556 matches. Meanwhile, Khan is second on the list with 500 scalps in 371 matches.

Khan has taken only eight years to achieve the milestone, which left some of the cricket followers wondering if he could go on to take 1,000 wickets in the format in the future.

It must be noted that no cricketer has taken 1,000 wickets, so far, in T20 cricket history.
