Pakistan's number one squash player Muhammad Asim Khan complained about the lack of support despite winning several laurels for the country.

Asim, who is active on social media while posting his achievements, once again wrote about how an athlete like him is ignored by the government and sponsors on Twitter.

"I’ve become Pakistan no.1 and achieved the highest world ranking of #53 but didn’t post anything on my social media accounts because the feeling was like I just started playing squash & my ranking is 1000 haha, no.1 Player of Pakistan without any sponsor & 0% Pakistan support," he wrote on Twitter on January 16.

While responding to a tweet on his post, Asim once again highlighted lack of interest in supporting athletes in Pakistan.

"Because no one wants to support deserving players, they are busy in supporting those players who are not even playing internationally and they have permanent jobs, I represented SNGPL in top 3 for 10 years and I’m still on contract," he highlighted.

In October 2022, Asim became Pakistan's number one squash player according to international rankings. The young squash player also achieved 53rd rank in the world.
