Pakistan’s Nida Dar has climbed to number nine, with a highest career rating of 225, in the ODI all-rounder’s rankings after the latest update by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Dar achieved the feat after scoring a gritty half-century during the first ODI against Australia in Brisbane on Monday. She scored 59 runs in 88 balls with the help of five fours and a six.

“Dar's efforts may not have been enough in the first ODI to overcome the hosts, who cruised to an eight-wicket win in Brisbane, but the 36-year-old showed why she remains as the only Pakistan women's player to sit in a top-ten spot across the three ODI ranking classifications,” the ICC said in a press release.

Meanwhile, Australia’s Ellyse Perry has lost her number one spot in the ODI all-rounder stakes, but the second and third ODIs against Pakistan in the coming week could help her regain her crown.

Perry bowled just three overs and faced just two deliveries to finish 2 not out against Pakistan.

“Young-gun Litchfield enters the batting rankings at 107th, with compatriot Alyssa Healy (777) holding top spot in spite of a calf injury keeping her out of the ongoing series. South Africa's Laura Wolvaardt (732) and Nat Sciver (731) move to second and third respectively, as Beth Mooney's early dismissal on Monday brought her down two spots (730),” the press released added.

“On the bowling side there was little movement to the rankings top-ten, with Megan Schutt's slide down to fourth (712) the only change. Diana Baig's 1-21 resulted in a four-spot move up to 24th (489), with Fatima Sana moving seven places to 32nd.”
