PAK vs NZ: Williamson highly rates Babar for his batting skills
Babar scored 149 runs in ODI series against New Zealand
KARACHI: New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson highly praised Babar Azam for his 'exceptional' batting skills.
Babar is currently one of the top batters in world cricket, having top positions in all three formats of the game.
Despite scoring runs in every format, Babar often suffers criticism for his low strike-rate.
While talking about Babar, Williamson was full of praise. "He is an amazing player," said Williamson while speaking to media after leading his side to 2-1 ODI series victory here at National Bank Cricket Arena (NBCA).
"Every time he comes out, he looks exceptionally well. He is a world class player, having the ability to take the game away from opposition. He has different gears and he showed it every time, even in this series too," added Williamson.
During last 12 months, Babar has scored 828 runs in 12 matches including three centuries. In three-match series against New Zealand, Babar scored 149 runs in three matches.
New Zealand beat Pakistan by two wickets to win the series 2-1. After winning the series, New Zealand retained their top position in ICC Cricket World Cup Super League whereas Pakistan are on number three.
