Babar Azam got full support from his fans after he was dismissed for just four runs in the ODI series decider against New Zealand in Karachi on Friday.

Babar once again misread spin bowling during the match and was stumped cleverly by Tom Latham. Michael Bracewell spun the ball sharply to deceive Babar, who was stumped thrice in this series.

Following Babar's dismissal, his fans supported him against all odds.

Babar, who is among nominations for ICC ODI cricketer of 2022 [yet to be announced], scored two fifties in the ongoing series against New Zealand.

It was his first single digit score after five ODI innings.

Babar often get criticised for not maintaining a high strike-rate despite scoring runs heavily.

In second ODI against New Zealand, Babar scored 79 off 114 balls at a strike-rate of 69.30. His innings was worthy for Pakistan when they lost two quick wickets but later on his slow approach hurt Pakistan as they fell too short of 262-run target.

Pakistan lost wickets after regular intervals which cost them second ODI by 79 runs. After winning second ODI, New Zealand levelled three-match series 1-1.

When this story was filed, Pakistan were batting at 194-4 in 37.2 overs. Fakhar Zaman was the latest dismissal as he got run out but not before the left-handed batter scored his eighth ODI century.
