LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) management committee chairman Najam Sethi will meet Asian Cricket Council (ACC) officials on the sidelines of his visit to UAE for the International League T20 (ILT20).

Sources told Geo News that Sethi will go to UAE on January 12 to watch ILT20's opening ceremony after being invited by the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB).

The first edition of the ILT20 will start on January 13 featuring six franchises.

Sethi will watch the opening ceremony alongside some sideline meetings. He will put forward Pakistan's stance on hosting Asia Cup 2023 after India opted out of the event in Pakistan as stated by ACC president and BCCI's general secretary, Jay Shah late last year.

The PCB boss will meet with ACC officials to resolve differences between them. Moreover, Sethi will also meet International Cricket Council (ICC) officials to discuss Champions Trophy 2025 which is scheduled to be played in Pakistan.

It must be noted here that Pakistan was given hosting rights for the Asia Cup 2023. But, India is likely to not come to Pakistan due to political differences between the neighboring countries. Pakistan last hosted the Asian event back in 2008.
