Usama Mir claimed 28 wickets in the Pakistan Cup recently — PCB 

Usama Mir received massive praise as he bowled New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson in the first ODI of the series at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi on Monday.

Usama, who is making his debut in the opening ODI, delivered for Pakistan as he cleaned up the prolific Williamson with a sensational delivery in his third over to claim his first ODI wicket. 

With the wicket, the leg-spinner helped the hosts reduce the Kiwis to 69-3 in 14.2 overs.

Usama gathered massive praise for sending Williamson back to the pavilion on social media website Twitter.

It is worth mentioning here that Usama was the top wicket-taker for his side Central Punjab in the recently concluded Pakistan Cup, as he claimed 28 wickets in the tournament.

He was named in the ODI squad after Shadab Khan was ruled out of the series due to a finger injury that he sustained while playing for Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League (BBL).
