KARACHI: New Zealand's white-ball format pacer Mitchell McClenaghan took a dig at second Test pitch.

Taking to Twitter after watching the play for about an hour on the opening day, McClenaghan looked unconvinced with the pitch.

"What an absolute road. Batters dream!" he wrote.

Men's team interim chief selector Shahid Khan Afridi claimed that a bouncy pitch will be made for the second Test. However, first hour of the play today raised questions on his claims.

New Zealand made a brave call to bat first on a pitch that was expected to give bounce to the bowlers. But, in the opening hour, they scored 63 runs at a faster pace.

When this story was filed, New Zealand were 81-0 in 19.3 overs at a run-rate of 4.15.

After looking at the pitch, Pakistan made two changes, bringing back their main pacers Naseem Shah and Hassan Ali to the playing XI.
