Babar Azam gets promotion in ICC Test rankings after England Test series

Pakistan skipper Babar Azam got a promotion in the latest ICC Test rankings after he scored 348 runs in three home Tests against England. 

After concluding home Test series against England as third-highest run-scorer, Babar climbed up to his career-best second spot in ICC Test batters' rankings. 

While sharing regular Wednesday updates in rankings, ICC said Babar achieved another milestone. 

Babar scored three half-centuries and a century against England at home. The right-handed batter already holds the number one position in ODI format. In T20Is, he recently dropped down to fourth position. 

Pakistan suffered first-ever whitewash at home in their cricket history. England's 'Bazball' formula worked really well for them as they finished the tour on a strong note.
