Portuguese star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo will agree to a £175 million per year contract with Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr before the end of this year, reported Marca,

Two days before Portugal's FIFA World Cup 2022 campaign got underway, United and Ronaldo mutually agreed to end their contract which was reportedly a result of the star footballer's explosive interview with Piers Morgan on Talk TV.

Ronaldo claimed he felt "betrayed" by club members for attempting to force him out and claimed Ten Hag doesn't show him respect.

Ronaldo, who is now in Dubai, was linked with the Saudi Arabian club amid the FIFA World Cup 2022 but declined to comment.

According to Marca, Al Nassr is interested in signing Ronaldo before the end of this year and has made the 37-year-old a staggering offer of £175 million a year to do so.

The rich contract, which may be extended, will keep him with the Saudi Arabian club through at least 2025

The Portugal international turned down a move to Saudi Arabia last summer, but he now appears destined to make the move after receiving no firm interest from Europe's top teams.

One of the most successful clubs in Saudi Arabia, Al Nassr has won the top division nine times, with their most recent victory occurring in 2019.

Portugal's FIFA World Cup 2022 run came to an end in the quarter-finals against Morocco by a score of 1-0, with Ronaldo coming on as a replacement in the second half to try and save the match for his nation.

He was replaced in the starting line-up for the 6-1 victory over Switzerland in the round of 16 by Goncalo Ramos, who scored a hat-trick and assisted on another.
