Pakistan's former and current cricketers also congratulated FIFA World Cup 2022 champions Argentina.

Led by star footballer Lionel Messi, Argentina beat defending champions France on 4-2 penalties.

Where the whole world joined Argentina's FIFA world cup celebration, Pakistani cricketers also congratulated Messi and his men.

Former flamboyant all-rounder Shahid Khan Afridi congratulated Argentina and praised both the teams for displaying quality game.

Left-arm pacer Wahab Riaz called it a 'well deserved' victory for Argentina.

Cricketer-turned-commentator Bazid Khan was full of praise for dominant Messi.

Former speedster Shoaib Akhtar enjoyed watching the enthralling finale.

Young pacer Shahnawaz Dahani believes that a new era of Kylian Mbappe has started.

Pakistan's frontline pacer Haris Rauf also congratulated the new world champions.

Messi, with his brilliance, led Argentina to third world cup title on Sunday. He became the first player in FIFA World Cup history to score in each of the following rounds: group stage, round of 16, quarterfinal, semifinal, and championship.

Despite making it to the 2014 World Cup final in Brazil, Messi has never scored in the elimination stages before this year's tournament.
