Pakistan Test opener Abdullah Shafique took a sensational catch in England's first innings during the third Test match of the series at the National Bank Cricket Arena on Sunday.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shared a video on their official Twitter handle of the batter where he can be seen while taking a catch.

Mark Wood played a powerful shot to the leg side off a delivery from Abrar Ahmed. However, Abdullah, who was fielding at mid-wicket, had other ideas as he leaped into the air and grabbed the ball to help his side reduce England to eight for 316.

"Superb catch. Abdullah Shafique made it look easy," the PCB wrote on Twitter.

In the first innings, Pakistan dismissed England for 354 runs on Sunday.

The visitors have a 50-run advantage after bowling Pakistan out for 304 in the first innings.

For Pakistan, spinners Nauman Ali and Abrar Ahmed each secured four wickets.

The score was 21-0 as Pakistan's opening pair of Abdullah Shafique (14) and Shan Masood (3) safely reached stumps.
