Karachi, Multan, Rawalpindi, and Lahore will host the matches of PSL 8 — PSL 

The much-awaited draft of the eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) concluded in Karachi with some exciting picks by the franchises.

Here is the complete list of squads which will participate in PSL 8.

Lahore Qalandars

After retaining their key players, who played an integral role in winning the title, the reigning champions focused more on the young prospects, picking some new talent who were the finds of their Player Development Programme.

Squad: Shaheeen Shah Afridi (c), Haris Rauf, Rashid Khan, David Wiese, Kamran Ghulam,  Zaman Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Hussain Talat, Sikandar Raza, Liam Dawson, Dilbar Hussain, Mirza Tahir Baig, Ahmed Daniyal, Shawaiz Irfan, Jordan Cox, Jalat Khan

Peshawar Zalmi

Led by the Pakistan skipper Babar Azam, Zalmi opted for a totally different squad with a great emphasis on aggressive players and match-winners.

Multan Sultans: 

Sultans in their squad for next year's PSL have made some prominent changes as they let go of Imran Tahir and Sohaib Maqsood and switched to Karachi Kings and Islamabad United, respectively.

Islamabad United

The two-time champions went for a healthy mix of aggression and experience in their squad. And, picking Sohaib Maqsoob, Moeen Ali, and Rumman Raees proved that.

Quetta Gladiators 

The Gladiators have unveiled a balanced roster that includes some elite foreign players, some excellent national players, and some talented young players that fall under the emerging category.

Squad: Mohammad Nawaz, Iftikhar Ahmed, Jason Roy, Mohammad Hasnain, Sarfaraz Ahmed (c), Naveen ul Haq, Umar Akmal, Will Smeed, Wanindu Hasaranga, Naseem Shah, Odean Smith, Ahsan Ali, Umaid Asif, Muhammad Zahid, Abdul Bangalzai, Aimal Khan, Martin Guptill, Omair Bin Yousuf

Karachi Kings

Karachi Kings had a disastrous campaign in the seventh edition of the PSL, where they couldn't win a single match during the tournament. However, intending to get back to their best, the 2019 champions roped in some of the best players with a great reputation in the shortest format of the game.

The PSL 8 is scheduled to take place next year from February 9 to March 19 in Karachi, Multan, Rawalpindi, and Lahore.
