After losing the second Test by 26 runs against England, Pakistan are almost out of ICC Test Championship 2021-23's final race.

The green caps fell apart against the visitors despite Saud Shakeel's lone effort with the bat.

Pakistan's journey in the championship is almost finished after the latest defeat. Mathematically, if Pakistan win all their remaining three Tests and other matches in the championship end in a draw. But, it looks impossible.

Babar Azam XI (are ranked sixth currently in ICC Test Championship's points table. They will play two Tests at home against New Zealand apart from last Test of the series against England, starting from December 17 in Karachi.

ICC Test Championship's final will be played in March next year. New Zealand are the reigning champions after they beat India in the final in Southampton in 2021.

So far, Pakistan had the worst Test season at home as they have failed to win even a single match.

After losing Test series against Australia in March this year, Pakistan lost 2-0 to England in three-Test series, with a match to go in Karachi this weekend.

Australia beat Pakistan by 115 runs in the last Test in Lahore to win the three-match series 1-0. Now, England won Rawalpindi and Multan Tests to win the series 2-0.
