Babar Azam XI had the worst Test season at home so far as they have failed to win even a single match.

After losing Test series against Australia in March this year, Pakistan lost 2-0 to England in three-Test series, with a match to go in Karachi this weekend.

Australia beat Pakistan by 115 runs in the last Test in Lahore to win the three-match series 1-0. Now, England won Rawalpindi and Multan Tests to win the series 2-0.

After 1959, this is the first time when Pakistan lost three consecutive Tests at home.

On the other hand, Pakistan's chances to qualify for ICC Test Championship's final are almost finished. The green shirts had to win at least four out of remaining five Tests they were scheduled to play in this cycle.

"Our target is to play ICC Test Championship final by winning four out of five Test matches," Pakistan's skipper Babar Azam had said before Test series against England started.

Pakistan are ranked sixth currently in ICC Test Championship's points table. They will play two Tests at home against New Zealand apart from last Test of the series against England, starting from December 17 in Karachi.

England's victory

Saud Shakeel's maiden Test hundred dream was shattered by a controversial decision followed by Pakistan's loss from a winning position in the second Test in Multan on Tuesday.

Agha Salman struck Mark Wood for consecutive boundaries in an over after which Ollie Robinson targeted the last batter Mohammad Ali and bagged him successfully to hand England 26-run victory. The English side sealed the series 2-0, their first-ever in Pakistan after 2000-01.

Last time 17 years ago, Pakistan beat England 2-0 in three-match series.
