Left-handed batter Saud Shakeel was confident that target around 320-330 is achievable on Multan Stadium's pitch.

After taking 281-run lead, England finished day 2 on a strong note. After getting the hosts bowled out for 202 runs, England scored as many runs for the loss of five wickets at the stumps.

"Our target is to get them [England] all out as soon as possible tomorrow," Saud, who scored 63 off 106 balls, told Geo.tv.

"I think 320-330 target on this pitch is achievable," he added.

Saud gave the reference of Galle Test where Pakistan chased down 344 runs to win first Test against home side Sri Lanka in July this year.

"We have chased a big total earlier this year in Galle. We are confident to make it this time around too. If we get them out earlier, we can chase the target in the remaining days," the cricketer said.

Batting performance

Saud said he was unlucky to get out off Jack Leach. "I was playing against Leach while coming down the ground as per our plan. Unfortunately, I miss-timed the ball which cost me my wicket," he said.

Saud defended Mohammad Rizwan and said the pressure wasn't created due to his batting. "It's a wrong perception to say Rizwan put pressure on me. The pitch got slow and old ball was getting swing," he shared.

Rizwan scored 10 off 43 balls in first innings.

Harry Brook (74*) and Ben Stokes (16*) will resume England's innings on day 3.
