Pakistan's hard-hitting batter Iftikhar Ahmed believes that professionals are trained of managing workload.

In an interview after his scintillating performance for Bangla Tigers in Abu Dhabi T10 League, Iftikhar said playing a lot of cricket needs skills and strong training.

"Nowadays we are playing a lot of cricket and I have also just played the T20 World Cup before coming here to the Abu Dhabi T10. But, we have all trained for such situations," he said.

"We work on our fitness and on our skills in training, put in plenty of hard work, and that is what helps us get through a tough phase. We are all professionals and we have to handle it," he added.

Soon after joining the shorter format league, Iftikhar showed his power-hitting skills and performed in all three matches he played so far. His scores of 49, 83 and 54 helped him make a roaring entry to the T10 format.

In T20 World Cup 2022, Iftikhar scored 114 runs in seven matches at an average of 22.80.
