Saudi player turns down rumours of getting Rolls Royce as gift from their government

QATAR: Saudi Arabia's striker Saleh Alshehri dismissed rumours of getting a Rolls Royce each from the government after his team's famous win over Argentina in the FIFA World Cup 2022

In a press conference before their second match against Poland today, Alshehri was asked about the news of receiving a royal gift after Argentina win. 

"It's not true. We take pride in representing our country and that is the biggest reward for us," the player responded. 

Soon after Saudi Arabia beat Argentina 2-1 in their World Cup opener, news surfaced on social media that the Royal government will give a Rolls Royce each to players. 

The news became the center of attraction as fans were already stunned by Saudi Arabia's performance to notch a historic victory. 

When this story was filed, Saudi Arabia were struggling against Poland. Robert Lewandowski's Poland were leading 2-0 against the men in green.
