Bahwalpur Royals' Rehan Ahmed gets into England's Test squad for Pakistan tour

ABU DHABI: Leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed has officially been added to England's Test squad for the upcoming Pakistan tour

Rehan, who featured in Bahawalpur Royals in Pakistan Junior League (PJL)'s inaugural season, has got a wild card entry to England's squad for the all-important ICC Test Championship tour. 

Leicestershire's leg-spinner, if gets a chance in playing XI during the Pakistan tour, will become England's youngest-ever Test player. 

Previously, Yorkshire’s Brian Close (18 years 149 days) was the youngest to play Test cricket for England that too back in 1949.

England's team is currently in Abu Dhabi, preparing for the Test series against Pakistan. They are scheduled to arrive in Pakistan on November 27. 

First Test between Pakistan and England is scheduled in Rawalpindi from December 1-5. Multan will host second match of the series, with the series concluding in Karachi.
