KARACHI: Quetta Gladiators' fans became curious when their franchise didn't retain in-form Naseem Shah for Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8.

Naseem, who rose to fame in the T20I format during this year's Asia Cup, was released by the 2019-PSL champions.

Gladiators' fans took to Twitter with a lot of queries in this regard. Following immense gossip on Naseem, Gladiators' head of player acquisition - Nabeel Hashmi - ensured that the young pacer will be picked up by them in the players' draft at any cost.

"Kahin nahi Jaane denge Naseem ko [Will not let Naseem go anywhere]," wrote Nabeel.

Naseem fulfilled injured Shaheen Shah Afridi's absence in T20 Asia Cup 2022. The right-arm pacer continued to haunt batters in the Asian event with the new ball.

He bagged seven wickets in five matches at an average of 19.71. His impressive economy rate of 7.66 made him a future prospect for Pakistan in the shorter format.

In the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022, Naseem has so far bagged three wickets in six matches.
