ADELAIDE: Social media platform Twitter was flooded with memes after Pakistan qualified for the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2022 following a win over Bangladesh at the Adelaide Oval on Sunday.

Opting to bat first, Bangladesh posted a paltry 127 runs on the scoreboard, which Pakistan easily chased down in 18.1 overs for the loss of five wickets.

Pakistan's young batter Mohammad Haris played a crucial 31-run knock off 16 to help his side beat the Tigers. Opener Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam scored 32 and 25 runs, respectively.

After Pakistan's unexpected qualification, fans took to the micro-blogging site and shared hilarious memes.

Take a look:

The Netherlands shockingly beat South Africa by 13 runs earlier on Sunday, which paved the way for Pakistan and helped them book their last-four spot.

The Men in Green will either face New Zealand or England in the semi-final of the World Cup. It depends on the result of the match between India and Zimbabwe.

If India beat Zimbabwe, then Pakistan will clash with the Kiwis. However, if Zimbabwe beats the Men in Blue then Pakistan will lock horns with England in their last-four encounter.
