ISLAMABAD: Test cricketer Ahmed Shehzad has written a letter to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), accusing Central Punjab's coaching panel of unprofessional behaviour, sources said Wednesday.

According to sources, Shehzad has filed a complaint against the coaching panel of Central Punjab and informed the national cricket governing body about the reasons for not participating in the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.

The right-handed batter was selected to play for the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy this season for Central Punjab. However, he did not join the team due to complaints from the coaching panel.

In the letter, Shahzad informed about the "unprofessional behavior" of the coaching panel of the side, which includes former Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq and English coach Paul Franks.

Meanwhile, PCB has not yet answered the cricketer's letter.

Earlier, the 30-year-old alleged a "negative report" presented by the then head coach Waqar Younis for denting his career.

In a media talk in June, Shehzad shared that he has only listened about a report that contained negative feedback about him but never saw it.

"I have heard about a report so many times but never saw it. In fact, I tried many times to see what was written in it, but I failed to do so," said the opening batter.

"I believe, that report put a big dent in my career. I really want that report to come out in public. Because I have to clear my stance as my fans want to see me on the ground once again," he said.

It must be noted here that Shehzad, who last played for Pakistan in 2019 against Sri Lanka, represented the national side in 153 international matches and amassed 5,062 runs.
