LAHORE: An all-round performance helped Mardan Warriors beat Rawalpindi Raiders to book the Qualifier 2 spot here at the Gaddafi Stadium on Wednesday.

The Warriors will take on Bahawalpur Royals in Qualifier 2 on Thursday.

The Raiders won the toss and decided to bat first, which didn't turn out in their favour as the Warriors bowled them out for 121 runs before chasing down the target in 18.4 overs.

In pursuit of the paltry 121 runs, the Warriors' batting line-up put on an all-round display, with Shahzaib Khan scoring an unbeaten 35 runs for his side.

Shahzaib smashed 35 runs off 32 balls, laced up with four boundaries and a maximum, while his partner Mohammad Farooq gathered 32 runs off 20 balls.

Olly Cox (26*) and Abbas Ali (4*) finished things off for the Warriors.

For the Raiders, Aseer Mughal, Hasan Eisakhil, Afnan Khan, and Amir Hasan got a wicket each.

Earlier, Habibullah's sensational performance with the bat helped the Raiders post 121 runs on the scoreboard. Habibullah smashed 65 runs off 51 balls, including six boundaries and two maximums.

Apart from Habibullah, the two top-order batters, Hassan Eisakhil and Aseer Mughal scored a run each before falling to Mohammad Irfan and Abidullah, respectively.

Archie Lenham got two important wickets for the Warriors, as he secured wickets of Haroon Arshad (13) and Ali Ishaq (14).

For Warrior, apart from Lenham, Abidullah claimed three wickets, while Irfan and Mohammad Nabeel bagged two wickets each.
