BRISBANE: Pakistan pacer Mohammad Wasim Jr fell short of a challenge by his team’s mentor Matthew Hayden before the T20 World Cup 2022 warm-up match against Afghanistan on Wednesday in Brisbane.

In a video shared on the official social media accounts of PCB, Hayden offered Wasim $100 if he could throw the ball on the top tier of the stadium.

Hayden gave the same challenge to Wasim’s fellow pacer Naseem Shah but the latter sided with his mentor instead.

The reason behind the challenge was a similar conversation, earlier, between Wasim and Naseem, where the former claimed that he can throw the ball out of the stadium.

Hayden gave the $100 challenge after hearing the conversation between the aforementioned duo.

However, Wasim was unable to throw the ball out of the stadium and will now pay $100, each, to Hayden and Naseem.
