KARACHI: Pakistan team’s regular opening pair, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, have been frequently criticised for their cautious approach at the start of the innings in the recent past.

However, a change in the opening pair, Shan Masood and Haider Ali, during the T20 World Cup 2022 warm-up match against England on Monday served as a breath of fresh air for the Pakistan team fans.

Masood and Ali notched up 49 runs in 4.5 overs, with Pakistan scoring an impressive 66/1 in the first powerplay.

It is unlikely that Pakistan will change their opening pair of Azam and Rizwan during the mega event but that didn’t stop the netizens from showering praise on Pakistan’s aggressive approach at the top.

It must be noted that Pakistan will play their opening match of the T20 World Cup against India at the historic Melbourne Cricket Ground on October 23.
