BRISBANE: Attractive interaction between Pakistan and India players on the sideline of training sessions has already started before the two arch-rivals take on each other in a high-octane T20 World Cup 2022 clash on October 23 in Melbourne.

Before India took Australia in a warm-up game today, their fast bowler Mohammad Shami met Pakistan's Shaheen Shah Afridi in nets area while bowling.

The two star bowlers are making comeback to their teams for the mega event. Shami replaced injured Jasprit Bumrah in the Indian squad whereas Shaheen returned after knee injury recovery.

In a video shared by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Shaheen and Shami can be seen greeting each other before their warm-up games.

Shami took three crucial wickets for India as they managed to beat the hosts and defending champions Australia in their first warm-up game of the marquee event.

During the T20 Asia Cup 2022 earlier this year in August, cricket fans got to watch eye-catching interactions between Pakistan and India players. From Virat Kohli-Babar Azam to Shaheen-Virat, the golden moments were recorded and shared by the PCB on social media.

The videos of these interactions garnered millions of views from across the world. Emotional and pumped-up fans demanded more cricket between the two neighbors.

This year only, Pakistan and India have met twice so far - both in Asia Cup. In T20 World Cup 2022, the two teams will be meeting for the third time this year.

In their last three meetings during the last 12 months, Pakistan won two and India won one. In October 2021, Pakistan beat India for the first time in a World Cup event. They defeated their arch-rivals by 10 wickets in their first match of the T20 World Cup 2021

After losing their first match to India in T20 Asia Cup, Pakistan bounced back to win their match against India in the super 4 stage.
