KARACHI: Pakistan skipper Babar Azam turned 28-year-old today and celebrated his big day with T20 World Cup 2022 teams captains in Melbourne.

Here at Geosuper.tv, we look at the five best knocks played by world's number three T20I batter on his special day.

104 vs Australia - Test

Babar had something to prove on Pakistan's 2019 trip to Australia because there were concerns about his capacity to handle the complexities of Test cricket and foreign conditions.

However, he came back in spectacular form in Brisbane with a valiant hundred in the first Test of the two-match series.

Azam's resilient 104-run knock, which featured 13 boundaries, was impressive despite Pakistan losing the game.

127 vs New Zealand -  Test

In white-ball cricket, Babar rapidly established himself as one of the best, but in Test cricket, this wasn't the case.

There were no questions about Babar's ability, but it took him 17 Tests to score his first century in the longest format. Because of this, his first-ever Test century, which he scored against New Zealand in the second Test of the three-match series in Dubai in November 2018.

The right-handed batter amassed 127 runs in 263 balls, including 12 fours and two maximums.

Babar was a pivotal player in Pakistan's triumph, which they achieved by an innings and 16 runs.

196 vs Australia - Test

Babar hit a superb performance earlier this year to help Pakistan draw the second Test of the three-match series against Australia in Karachi.

The second innings' target of 506 put Pakistan under tremendous pressure. Babar, though, took the initiative and played a 10-hour innings to help Pakistan tie the game.

The fact that it occurred in the fourth innings of the game on a failing pitch was what made the innings unique.

122 vs South Africa - T20I

The three-match T20I series levelled 1-1, and the Men in Green had to register a win in the third T20I to take a lead.

The series saw Babar break many records. In pursuit of 203 runs, Mohammad Rizwan and Babar entered the field of play in Centurion.

Babar hit his first T20I century in just 49 deliveries after expertly centering the ball. He scored 122 runs in 59 balls, including 15 boundaries and four sixes, with a strike rate of 206.77.

Babar and Rizwan partnered up for 197 runs, becoming the team's highest-scoring pair ever and the fourth-highest pair overall in this format.

158 vs England - ODI

Babar recorded his highest ODI score in the last One Day International of the three-match series between Pakistan and England in 2021. The Men in Green, who were given the opportunity to bat first, scored a staggering 331 runs in 50 overs.

The 28-year-old scored the most runs, 158 to be exact. At a strike rate of 113.67, he hit four home runs and 14 doubles in one inning. His contribution, however, came in a losing cause as Pakistan was defeated by three wickets.
