KARACHI: Crystal Palace, one of the participating teams in the prestigious Premier League, said it was a pleasure having Shaheen Afridi with them in Selhurst.

Shaheen and Fakhar Fakhar Zaman were undergoing rehabilitation under the supervision of renowned sports doctor Zafar Iqbal, who is the Head of Sports Medicine at Crystal Palace.

The left-arm pacer, who sustained a knee injury during Pakistan's two-match Test series against Sri Lanka in Galle, went to London during the Asia Cup 2022 to complete his rehabilitation.

Meanwhile, Fakhar also suffered a knee problem during the Asian event and joined Shaheen in London to complete his recovery.

After a full recovery, the two national cricketers departed to Brisbane to join the Pakistan team ahead of the much-awaited T20 World Cup 2022.

Replying to Shaheen's post on Twitter, where the pacer posted a picture with the medical team of Crystal Palace, the Premier League club wrote: "An absolute pleasure having you [Shaheen]."

Shaheen has been declared fit for the two warm-up matches against Afghanistan and England before the Men in Green kick off their World Cup campaign against arch-rivals India at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground on October 23.
